Consultancy Fees

Fees & Appointments

I offer a brief free initial phone consultation to discuss what you are looking for. Following initial assessment, I aim to offer regular weekly then fortnightly appointment times. I offer both in-person appointments and telehealth (Zoom).

Standard fee: Using the Medicare rebates, the total out-of-pocket cost is a maximum of $133.65 per 55-minute session. If you are claiming with your private health insurance, the out-of-pocket cost may be slightly higher.

Referrals

You do not need a referral or diagnosis to see a psychologist. However, if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate for your sessions, you will need a referral from your GP or psychiatrist. This referral incorporates a Mental Health Care Plan.

Rebates

Individuals with a Medicare card and Mental Health Care Plan are eligible for up to 10 rebatable psychology sessions per calendar year. This means that you are required to pay the full fee for the session ($270), then the rebate is processed such that the total out-of-pocket cost to you is approximately $133.65.

Patients with an Eating Disorder diagnosis may be eligible for an Eating Disorder Plan, which provides for up to 40 rebatable sessions per year.

Patients with private health cover may also be eligible to claim back on their psychology sessions. Please note, that I do not process private health funds on your behalf. Rather, you will be required to pay for the session in full, then apply to your private health fund separately for the refund.
